A Vintage prom queen design board and dress. I am working on some new colors and style for my boutique space so I decided these colors would be great for spring and the Vintage prom queen style. I hand stamped the kraft card with white ink, and type the words with my vintage typewriter. On my design board I have a tea-stain coffee filter pom-pom, a glitter crown, lavender for luck, a key locket neckless ( I sell at my boutique) and a vintage gray bag. The dress is pink blush and a size ” 4″ . The neckless is cream pearls with a cream fabric flower. This dress is for sale too, so if you are interested send me an email.
I will be posting more dresses in all sizes.
Have a fun week, xoxo !
I have bee in the market for a Vintage velvet sofa for a prop for a photo booth. When I walked into this thrift store over the weekend I was excited to see this beauty. The perfect color for a photo booth that I am doing in June. The wedding colors are going to be coral and gray. I will be using this sofa in my boutique space in the mean time as a display. Sometimes lady luck is right by your side.
This sofa is available for layaway at Vintage Vendetta at 126 b main street Lake Elsinore.
Have a fun week . : )
Moving my shop space to a new location has been a big project. I decided to down size and make my space a little more rustic. Here is a before picture of the space I have to work with. Very shabby with tall ceilings and well very rustic.
Most people didn’t like this space, but I had a vision. I added the lights from my last space and brought in some shabby chic signs and frames. A few of the bulbs were out, but I really liked how much it changed the look.
I white wash the existing cabinet , and brought in a few items. The Flower market sign sold as soon as I brought it in so I had to make a another one, so I made a witchery, spells & potions sign, and brought in my other vintage items.
This is just a start, I will be completely moved in by the 1st of September . This space is very shabby, unique and rustic, but that’s what sells here in old town .
I think I will remove the doors and add some burlap to the shelves. The new location is at Vintage Vendetta, 126 B. Main Street, Lake Elsinore, Ca. 92530. They have very ECLECTIC vintage furniture & decor here, come by and say hi to John and Fab !
Next post how to make a sign look rustic & aged…
have a fun week !
My simple French tea started out with my dress form dressed for the occasion with a black corset and a white tutu with a black top hat. Maybe a little over the top but why not, it’s time for me to let my inner fun side out ! I wore my french skirt with my simple black top. Maria wore her french black and white tee with red pants and a little french hat. The banner was easy to make because I bought the flags from Micheal’s and just spray painted the letters black . I used my mismatched silver and my mic-matched white china cups for the tea. I hand stenciled numbers on my white plates. And I used a chandelier stamp for my napkins and for my menu cards.
cucumber sandwiches with fresh dill and cream cheese
crackers with lavender jelly
hot spiced tea with lavender sugar
pineapple cake with cream cheese frosting
The Tea was a success and we loved serving tea and talking to all the ladies who came by. I was asked for my cake recipe. I used a store-bought mix and added pineapple juice (instead of water ) and chucks to the cake batter. For the frosting I used 1 stick of butter and 1 package of cream cheese at room temperature. Then I added 1 cup of powdered sugar and blended well. I garnished the top with pineapple chucks.
A simple but fun tea, have a great week.
Here are my enchanting” Spells & Potions ” , & “Book of Shadows ” . I copied this print off my pinterest board (pretty papers ) and added my name and printed the page in color . I glued them with white glue and wrinkled the papers to give them a distressed look.
I used some brown distress ink and rubbed the edges and the pages.
I used some old cook books I found at a resales store , I paid about $5.00 a book . A simple and inexpensive project with big results. I can’t wait to do my “Big book of Wizards !
Welcome to Tanya’s baby shower Brunch. A lot of work but a lot of fun, it was all worth it because the brunch was a success ! The shower was at 10am Saturday so we had to come and set up all the decorations , tag all the drink glasses and cups and set the tables the night before. The beautiful cake was by my good friend Dora.
The tables were set up outside and had simple but pretty white carnations in mason jars on top of turquoise chevron print squares, over lime green tablecloths. I rented all the tablecloths(16 to be exact for 60 women) and some chairs at “A Better Party’ in Lake Elsinore.
Brianna also made this advice tree, and boy did everyone give a lot of great advice. She had homemade earring for all the girls who took the time to fill out the cards.
The coffee bar had my collection of white coffee cups and Carol and Jackie brought the coffee and beautiful silver creamers.
I blew up Tanya’s pictures and tape them to the existing pictures.
I made a lot of chalkboard for this event for all the tables and for the three gifts we gave out for the games the girls played.
I used a large french basket with a cream linen for the croissants. The menu… French Toast with homemade raspberry syrup. croissants with butter. , sliced tomatoes with assorted cheeses and herbs. Fresh fruit salad with lavender syrup, maple Bacon. Hot coffee, herbal tea and orange juice with mineral water and cake for dessert. My mom Dee and Kim did most of the cooking, and Yolanda made the fruit salad.
Tanya got a lot of wonderful gifts from all her famliy and friends. The white basket was filled with used books the girls brought for Tanya’s baby .
Congrats to the happy couple who is expecting their bouncing baby boy in November. I know that he will bring you all the joy and love that only a new baby boy can bring. How exciting ! I can’t wait !!
And a big thank-you for all who came to share this wonderful event !
