Vintage Velvet sofa…

vintage chic 2014 025

I have bee in the market for a Vintage  velvet sofa for a prop for a photo booth. When I walked into this thrift store over the weekend I was excited to see this beauty. The perfect color for a photo booth  that I am doing in June. The wedding colors are going to be coral and gray.  I will be using this sofa in my boutique space in the mean time as a display.  Sometimes lady luck is right by your side.

This sofa is available for  layaway at Vintage Vendetta at 126 b main street Lake Elsinore.

Have a fun week . : )

Pretty & simple Christmas wrappings

When it comes to gift wrapping I am a pack rat. I keep everything, even the Trader Joes bags, which I think are really pretty. I also scout out after Christmas sales and buy all the craft style close outs for the next year. The craft printed paper( top left ) is from Home Goods. The red & white bakers twine I bought for $12.99 at a craft store.  I paper punch my own tags, and stamp them.  I keep all my pretty papers in boxes and bring them out to see what I have. Then I just mix and match all my wrappings.

I used the Trader Joes bags for the tops of my jars and for wrapping small presents, with the red & white stripe bakers twine.  I also love to top of my gifts with vintage toys I  find all year-long, and candy canes from the dollar store. The gift below I used fir, and an old white envelope. Pretty simple wrappings, and that way I can spurge on the gifts.

My Studio & Boutique

Having a studio and boutique is a work in progress. I change my mind daily on props and displays. I have a nice industrial desk with my vintage type writer, and vintage cameras.  I  do a lot of my photo cards here . I still don’t have a place in my studio where I can shoot photography ,but I  love to shoot right outside in Old town.

I have all kinds of books from cook books to wedding books, and a few of my custom photography books.

I have my photo props such as angle wings, hats and vintage suitcases through-out the boutique.

This cute loft has a black and white checked floor which I love and old white stone walls , so I did not have to do anything to this space before I moved in. Except hang the lights on all the walls.

I love the old French garden style, so I have added some garden inspired items. I bought this vintage urn and pick up some silk flowers and tied a burlap ribbon around them. The water can is an antique from holland.

I decided I would make the white feathered angle wings my boutique logo, maybe I will have some store cards made up. I am now in the process of hanging some of my photographs on the wall. Still a work in progress but it’s a start !

Colors I am loving for 2012…

The colors I am loving for 2012 are tans, grays and whites. This bedroom is for sweet dreams and a little bit of magic as all  your dreams come true.

I went to the after Christmas sales and bought all the white, silver and gold ribbons, candles and napkins . And lots of silver bulbs from Restoration and Hardware.

I like the style of this room…simple and chic !

Today I wore Black and tan and I felt so simply chic. I think natural colors are easy to group together and always look so classic  as seen on my pinterest !  Hope you have a wonderful weekend and good luck shopping !

Old Town Claremont ….

We went to Old town Claremont for some Christmas shopping and stopped for some cupcakes and coffee at Vanilla Sunshine…

I would have to say I loved this place …

and their selection was amazing, but what I loved most about this place was how simply adorable the details were on these cupcakes  …

and how light and fluffy the frosting was…simply wonderful

Nothing spreads holiday cheer more than a cupcake and a warm cup of coffee…a must for your weekend shopping. You can visit their website here

Have a great week
