It’s a 30 & fabulous masquerade birthday party for my daughter Tanya and boy was it fun ! The colors were black, gold and turquoise with lots of sparkle with some masks we picked up at the dollar store. We bought lots of mask and put them everywhere. What made this party special were all the details. Everything matched perfectly right down to the beautiful feathered dress Tanya wore. Their was a beautiful decorated dessert table, a champagne bar with assorted fruits, and pasta and salad for dinner. We had karaoke so Tanya and her friends sang all night long. A beautiful and elegant event I am sure Tanya or her friends will never forget.
We just got back from San Diego and I found this cute little whimsical cafe and bakery in Sea Port Village. We were on an all day bike ride so I had to have my morning chai tea. They also had very fresh organic coffee, hot or cold. A very nice cafe and their cupcakes were wonderful.
I am having a Whimsical Christmas Tea event this Sunday at my home in Southern California. Highlights are The Pampered Chef by Barbara and she will be giving a cooking class. Cupcake design by Dora and she will be showing us how to create little jewels with cupcakes. Holiday table setting by Cheryl, and I will have three different ways to create beautiful tables and dramatic center pieces. And we will have lovely Christmas gifts by Brianna. Maria’s Antiques is our sponsor and she has given us some beautiful tea gifts for our drawing.
Should be lots of fun ! Please join us on my blog…
and have a wonderful weekend ! Here is my tea recipe.
Spiced Tea Punch
- 10 whole cloves
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 8 cups apple juice
- 8 blackberry tea bags
- 1 Navel orange, cut crosswise into rounds.
- Wrap cloves and cinnamon sticks in a piece of cheesecloth or a coffee filter and secure with kitchen twine. Bring apple juice and spices just to the boiling point. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 4 to 6 minutes then remove tea bags. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold
We went to Old town Claremont for some Christmas shopping and stopped for some cupcakes and coffee at Vanilla Sunshine…
I would have to say I loved this place …
and their selection was amazing, but what I loved most about this place was how simply adorable the details were on these cupcakes …
and how light and fluffy the frosting was…simply wonderful

We went to Old Town Riverside this weekend to visit the Mission Inn and to get some of Casey’s Cupcakes…
I love this place it brings out your inner girly side, and the cupcakes are great…. Mission Inn-based Casey’s Cupcakes and Cappuccinos was the winner of this months edition of “Cupcake Wars” on the Food Network. How fun is that.
I like to have events here at the Mission Inn and I always use Casey’s Cupcakes. Here’s the table for Tanya’s 27th birthday and I had a different cupcake for each guest, and the girls loved them !
Hope everyone has a wonderful week
